This two-day instructor-led ISO/IEC 42001:2023 Implementation course provides participants with the knowledge and skills required to plan, implement, and maintain an Artificial Intelligence Management System (AIMS) in accordance with the ISO/IEC 42001 standard. Designed for professionals, managers, and organizations developing or deploying AI systems, the course offers a structured review of the standard’s requirements and practical application exercises to support effective implementation. Participants will gain an understanding of AI governance, risk management, lifecycle controls, and performance evaluation, enabling their organizations to manage AI responsibly, transparently, and in alignment with emerging regulatory and stakeholder expectations.

Learning Objectives:
- Explain the purpose, structure, and intent of ISO/IEC 42001 and its role in establishing an Artificial Intelligence Management System (AIMS).
- Interpret the requirements of ISO/IEC 42001 across the AI system lifecycle, including governance, risk management, and operational controls.
- Apply management system principles and risk-based thinking to support the planning and implementation of an AIMS aligned with organizational objectives.
- Identify and evaluate AI-related risks, impacts, and controls relevant to the development, deployment, and use of AI systems.
- Determine the documented information and objective evidence needed to demonstrate conformity with ISO/IEC 42001 requirements.

Prerequisites: Basic knowledge of management system and organizational process concepts is recommended but not required. Participants are strongly encouraged to obtain their own copy of ISO/IEC 42001:2023 prior to the course.
